Information for students entering the second year

These templates will help students entering their second year to plan their research projects.

This first template is the Research Proposal.

You will write 800 words, which is 20% of the total marks available for the Research Project module.

Think of your research proposal as a 'blueprint'. In other words, it should be sufficiently detailed that if given to a colleague they would be able to complete the research project for you.

Proposal Template

This second template is your Ethics Form. You will need to complete this form and hand it in with your research proposal. You will not be allowed to undertake any research until your proposal has been approved by your teaching team and if necessary the University Centre's Ethics Committee.
